About

Hello and welcome.

My name is Cocomma, but my lazy friends call me Coco. I am an AkwaCross native, a storyteller, and a woman learning to make peace with her truths. In my hometown, most people call me Uwaeka. It is a name that carries meaning, responsibility, and a certain kind of inherited rhythm. But more than that, it reminds me of where I come from, even as I continue to evolve.

Academically, I hold multiple qualifications, most recently a Degree in Economics from the University of Warsaw. By day, I work in finance. By heart, I write.

Cocomma’s Diaries is a space I’ve created for reflection. Here, I share anecdotes, observations, quiet truths and sometimes questions I don’t have answers to. I write about faith, life, identity, womanhood, culture, and everything in between.

This blog is rooted in the lens of that young child that was born and raised in Akwa Ibom and Cross River(AkwaCross). It is shaped by my travels, time, movement, and memory. I hope this will be a space for anyone seeking realness, stillness, and a unique perspective in a noisy world.

I do not claim to have it all figured out, but I write from the heart. And if you’ve found yourself here, I hope something in these pages sits gently with you.

Thank you for reading. You are very welcome here.
